Angelina Gibson,
Piano

Angelina Gibson, age 13, lives in Sious Falls, SD, with her parents William and Beverly Gibson. She currently studies piano with Professor Paul Whitely at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa.
Miss Gibson is active as a chamber musician in the Dakota Academy of Performing Arts (DAPA), playing in a trio with viola and clarinet. Angelina also studies music theory with Dr. Luke Dahn (Northwestern College) and voice with Mrs. Deb Vogel (Dordt College).
She has studied piano with Sakiko Ohashi (MM Juliard), Laurent Boukobza (University of Central Florida) and Luci Meyers (Sious Falls). She attended Christian Center Elementary School through the third grade and has been homeschooled from gradess 4-7. Her interests include musical theater and drama which she pursues through the DAPA Youth Theater Institute. She is also a dance, studying at the Main Stage Ballet and Dance Academy where is is on the competition theam, "Showcase"

Nadia Maudhoo

Nadia Maudhoo,
Violin

Nadia Maudhoo, age 15, is from Omaha, NE, where she is a Freshman at Millard West High School. Her parents are Subby and Meg Maudhoo. She began studying violin at the age of 7 and currently studies with Anne Nagosky. She has had coaching with Yair Kless, Alf Kraggurud, Lucia May, Sally O'Reilly and Dr. Jonathan Sturm. Nadia has been a member of the Omaha Area Youth Orchestra (OAYO) since 2006; and at the age of 11, she was the winner of the OAYO Concerto Competition. Among Nadia's other awards are: Honorable Mention at the Midwest Young Artists National Concerto Competition in 2010, First Place at the Lucy Weed State Competition of the American String Teachers Association in both 2008 and 2010, First Place in the 2009 Junior Division of the Orchestra Omaham Concerto Competition, and National Finalist in the 2009 Music Teachers National Association Competition following a First Place award in the West Central States Division.
Nadia has twice performed as a featured concerto soloist with the Omaha Symphony: in 2008 for their "Celebrate Creativity" Concerts, and in 2009, performing the Bach Double oncerto with her teacher. Since 2006, Nadia has also been invited to perform solo in the Omaha Symphony's "Christmas with the Symphony" Concerts. She appears regularly in recitals and special events around Omaha including the Blue Barn Music Festival, the 1200 Club Young Artists Night, and the Omaha Performing Arts Society's "Day of the Arts".

Lindsey O'Halloran,
Pianist

Lindsey O'Halloran, pianist, 17-year-old daughter of Patrick and Sandra O'Halloran, is a high school Junior from Dakota City, NE. She started learning from her mother at the age of 6 and became more serious about piano as a 7th grader when she began studying with Dr. Kathryn March.
Lindsey appeared as a soloist in 2009 with the Siouxland Youth Symphony after winning the LKAM (Leo Kucinski Academy of Music) Young Artist Concert Competition. She was First in the regional IMTA (Iowa Music Teachers' Association) Level F in 2010 and went on to receive Honorable Mention at the State IMTA competition. Most recently, Lindsey won the Genevieve Truran Piano Competition on the campus of USD. She has performed in numerous master classes and also in a wide variety of venues in the Siouxland area. A collaborative instrumentalist, Lindsay also is the principal flutist with the Siouxland Youth Symphony, of which she has been a member since 2007. Lindsey plans to pursue a career in piano, and has already begun her music education at Morningside College in addition to her high school academics.
